1. Acceptance of Terms

By accessing and using ChargeWorld LLC's website, platform, and services (the "Service"), you accept and agree to be bound by these Terms of Service. If you do not agree to these Terms, please do not use our Service.

If you access the Service on behalf of a company or organization, such as a dealership or an installation contractor, you represent that you have authority to bind that entity, and "you" includes that entity.

2. Description of Service

ChargeWorld helps electric vehicle (EV) owners get a Level 2 charger installed at home. Through the Service, you can tell us about your vehicle, your parking, and your electrical panel; receive a recommendation for a home charger that fits your situation; and be connected with independent, licensed local installers who can prepare a quote and perform the installation. We also work with vehicle dealerships that refer their customers to the Service.

ChargeWorld also offers an informational catalog of EV charging equipment that lets you research and compare charger specifications. Some catalog or professional features may be offered on a paid basis. Access to any part of the Service, whether free or paid, is governed by these Terms.

We may modify, suspend, or discontinue any feature of the Service at any time. The specific tools, workflows, and availability of installers or dealers vary by location and may change without notice.

3. Our Role; Relationship With Installers and Dealers

ChargeWorld is a technology platform and referral service. We help match homeowners with independent third parties, and we facilitate communication and project tracking between them. Except where we state otherwise in writing:

  • We are not an electrician, contractor, or installer, and we do not perform electrical work, site assessments, or installations
  • We do not sell, distribute, warrant, or install charging equipment
  • Installers and dealerships are independent businesses, not our employees, agents, partners, or joint venturers
  • Any quote, contract, warranty, sale, or installation is an agreement solely between you and the installer or dealer, and ChargeWorld is not a party to it

We do not guarantee the licensing, insurance, qualifications, availability, pricing, workmanship, or conduct of any installer or dealer. You are responsible for evaluating any installer or dealer, confirming their credentials, and deciding whether to hire them. See our Disclaimer for additional important information.

4. Eligibility and User Accounts

You must be at least 18 years old to use the Service. Some features require you to create an account, and homeowner projects may also be created for you through a dealership referral or invitation.

You agree to:

  • Provide accurate, current, and complete information, including about your vehicle, home, and electrical service
  • Maintain and promptly update your account and project information
  • Maintain the security of your password and account
  • Accept responsibility for all activities that occur under your account
  • Notify us immediately of any unauthorized use of your account

Accounts are personal and non-transferable. Dealer and installer accounts are subject to any additional written agreement between that business and ChargeWorld. We may suspend or delete accounts that are inactive for extended periods.

5. Projects, Recommendations, and Quotes

When you start a project, you provide details about your vehicle, parking, and electrical panel so that a charger can be recommended and an installer can prepare a quote. You understand and agree that:

  • Charger recommendations are informational suggestions based on the information you provide, not a professional electrical load calculation, engineering assessment, or guarantee of suitability
  • To connect you with an installer or dealer, we will share your project details with them (see our Privacy Policy)
  • Quotes, pricing, timelines, and scope of work come from the installer and may change after an on-site assessment
  • You are under no obligation to accept any recommendation or quote, and any installer is free to decline a project
  • Final equipment selection and installation decisions are yours, and should be confirmed with a licensed electrician

6. Acceptable Use

You agree not to use the Service to:

  • Violate any applicable laws or regulations
  • Infringe upon the rights of others
  • Submit false, misleading, or fraudulent information, including in project intake, reviews, or quotes
  • Distribute spam, malware, or malicious code
  • Attempt to gain unauthorized access to our systems or to other users' accounts or project data
  • Interfere with or disrupt the Service or servers
  • Impersonate any person or entity, including a homeowner, dealer, or installer
  • Collect or harvest information about other users, or contact them for purposes outside a legitimate project

You may not use automated means (including bots, crawlers, or scripts) to access or collect data from the Service, or resell or redistribute data obtained from the Service.

7. Catalog Data and License to Use

Subject to these Terms, ChargeWorld grants you a limited, non-exclusive, non-transferable, revocable license to access and use the Service, including the charger catalog, for your own personal or internal business purposes.

You may not reproduce, republish, host, or redistribute the catalog or other content obtained through the Service as a standalone database, directory, or competing service, and you may not bulk extract, resell, or sublicense that content. The charger data in the catalog may include information sourced from manufacturers and other public sources; that information remains the property of its respective owners.

8. Intellectual Property

The Service and its original content, features, and functionality are owned by ChargeWorld LLC and are protected by international copyright, trademark, patent, trade secret, and other intellectual property laws.

You may not reproduce, distribute, modify, create derivative works of, publicly display, republish, or otherwise use our content without our prior written consent. ChargeWorld makes no claim of ownership over third-party trademarks or manufacturer data displayed through the Service.

9. User Content

You retain all rights to content you submit through the Service, including project details, photos of your panel or parking area, reviews, questions, and messages. By submitting content, you grant us a worldwide, non-exclusive, royalty-free license to use, reproduce, modify, and distribute that content in connection with operating and providing the Service, including sharing project content with the installers and dealers working on your project.

We may remove any user-submitted material that violates these Terms or applicable law.

10. Fees and Payment

Getting a charger recommendation and being connected with an installer is currently free to homeowners. Payment for a charger, installation, or any related work is made directly to the installer or dealer under your agreement with them; ChargeWorld does not collect those funds and is not responsible for them.

Certain catalog or professional features may require a paid subscription. Where a paid feature applies, you agree to pay all associated fees; subscriptions renew automatically unless canceled before the renewal date; charges are non-refundable except where required by law; you are responsible for applicable taxes; and billing disputes must be reported within thirty (30) days of the charge. Any commercial arrangement between ChargeWorld and a dealer or installer is governed by a separate written agreement.

11. Termination

We reserve the right to terminate or suspend your account and access to the Service immediately, without prior notice or liability, for any reason, including breach of these Terms. Upon termination, your right to use the Service will immediately cease.

Upon termination, all provisions relating to intellectual property, limitation of liability, indemnification, and governing law will survive.

12. Disclaimer of Warranties

THE SERVICE IS PROVIDED "AS IS" AND "AS AVAILABLE" WITHOUT WARRANTIES OF ANY KIND, EITHER EXPRESS OR IMPLIED, INCLUDING BUT NOT LIMITED TO IMPLIED WARRANTIES OF MERCHANTABILITY, FITNESS FOR A PARTICULAR PURPOSE, AND NON-INFRINGEMENT. WE DO NOT WARRANT THAT THE SERVICE WILL BE UNINTERRUPTED, SECURE, OR ERROR-FREE.

ChargeWorld does not warrant the accuracy or completeness of charger recommendations, product specifications, cost estimates, or other data displayed on the Service, and does not warrant the services, workmanship, licensing, or conduct of any installer or dealer connected through the Service.

13. Limitation of Liability

IN NO EVENT SHALL CHARGEWORLD LLC, ITS DIRECTORS, EMPLOYEES, OR AGENTS BE LIABLE FOR ANY INDIRECT, INCIDENTAL, SPECIAL, CONSEQUENTIAL, OR PUNITIVE DAMAGES, INCLUDING WITHOUT LIMITATION, LOSS OF PROFITS, DATA, USE, OR OTHER INTANGIBLE LOSSES, RESULTING FROM YOUR USE OF THE SERVICE OR FROM ANY EQUIPMENT, QUOTE, OR INSTALLATION PROVIDED BY AN INSTALLER OR DEALER.

ChargeWorld's total aggregate liability arising from or related to the Service shall not exceed one hundred dollars ($100) or the amount you paid to ChargeWorld in the twelve (12) months preceding the claim, whichever is greater.

14. Indemnification

You agree to indemnify, defend, and hold harmless ChargeWorld LLC and its officers, directors, employees, and agents from any claims, liabilities, damages, losses, and expenses arising out of or related to your use of the Service, your violation of these Terms, or your dealings with any installer or dealer, including any claim arising from equipment selection, installation, or reliance on recommendations or catalog information.

15. Changes to Terms

We reserve the right to modify or replace these Terms at any time. We will provide notice of any material changes by posting the new Terms on this page and updating the "Last updated" date. Your continued use of the Service after such changes constitutes acceptance of the new Terms.

16. Governing Law

These Terms are governed by the laws of the State of Washington, without regard to conflict-of-law rules. You agree to submit to the exclusive jurisdiction of the courts located in King County, Washington.
